Portuguese Bend Horse Property--Rancho Palos Verdes

Rancho Palos Verdes isn't particularly noted for its equestrian properties on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Rolling Hills and Rolling Hills Estates have the lion's share of horse properties in PV. However, the hidden gen on "The Hill," when it comes to horse riding facilities, is the Portuguese Bend Riding Club located in the gated Portuguese Bend neighborhood off Palos Verdes Drive South in Rancho Palos Verdes.

The stable is no ordinary structure and shows its Spanish style with its red tile roof and white stucco walls. The full service barn offers boarding and riding lessons are available as well as a summer camp for kids. Miles of riding trails amid the nature preserve, often with ocean views, lace the gated neighborhood. Mature trees offer both shade and beauty to the equestrian facilities as well as throughout the neighborhood. Tucked away in the hills on the resort side of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, between Trump National Golf Course and Terranea Resort, is one of the finest equestrian facilities and neighborhoods in Southern California. The Palos Verdes Drive South neighborhood is home to some wonderful coastal neighborhoods, but this is the only one zoned for horses.
